Man Charged with Assault After Intimate Partner Violence

Brockville – On November 2, 2025, at about 8:30 pm, police received a complaint about a dispute between a couple over a family issue at a residence on Crawford Street.

Investigation revealed that the couple were in a dispute surrounding a matter with a child. The 44-year-old male was upset over actions surrounding his girlfriend’s young daughter.

This turned into an argument that escalated to the point that the male shoved the female, prompting police to be notified.

As a result of the investigation, the 44-year-old male was charged with assault. He was released on conditions with a future court date. The victim suffered minor, non-life-threatening injuries.
