Man Facing Numerous Charges After Intimate Partner Violence Investigation

Westport – A man faces more than half a dozen criminal charges following an intimate partner violence investigation.

On Tuesday, November 25, 2025, shortly before 10:00 p.m., members of the Leeds County, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended a residence where a male had refused to leave. The investigation led to the male being arrested.

The accused is charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

• Assault
• Break, enter a dwelling house with intent to commit an indictable offence – three counts
• Mischief – destroy or damage property
• Criminal harassment – repeatedly communicating
• Failure to comply with the release order, other than to attend court

The accused was remanded into custody following a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville.
