
Westport – A man faces more than half a dozen criminal charges following an intimate partner violence investigation.
On Tuesday, November 25, 2025, shortly before 10:00 p.m., members of the Leeds County, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended a residence where a male had refused to leave. The investigation led to the male being arrested.
The accused is charged with the following Criminal Code offences:
- Assault
- Break, enter a dwelling house with intent to commit an indictable offence – three counts
- Mischief – destroy or damage property
- Criminal harassment – repeatedly communicating
- Failure to comply with the release order, other than to attend court
The accused was remanded into custody following a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville.
