Athens – As we celebrate the season of giving, the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville invites the community to help make the new G. Tackaberry and Family Home in Athens, Ontario, a place of comfort and care for its future residents.
The redevelopment project, located on the Maple View Landings property, is the largest capital construction initiative in our history. Construction of the three-story, six-wing building is now complete, and residents will begin moving in 2026.
The Fundraising Committee’s goal is $3 million, and thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, we’ve already raised $2,872,406! Your support can help us cross the finish line. Every donation brings us closer to enhancing amenities not covered by construction costs, such as gardens, pedestrian walkways, and indoor neighbourhood features. Donations will also support vital items like resident lifts and technology enhancements to improve the well-being of residents and staff.
