
Brockville – Brockville Police arrested a thirty-year-old man on Monday, January 5th, after he was found running around outside the police station in the nude.
Police say officers quickly located the man in the area between the railway tracks and the side of the police station, and he was taken into custody without incident.
The man was arrested and charged with an Indecent Act and Being Nude in a Public Place, contrary to the Criminal Code. He was held in custody for a bail hearing. and remains in custody pending a future court date.
Police said they are aware that images of this incident have been captured and shared on social media.
“While we understand public curiosity in unusual events, members of the community are reminded to use social media responsibly. Sharing images or commentary related to police incidents, particularly before matters are resolved through the court process, can contribute to misinformation, impact the dignity of those involved, and raise privacy concerns,” said Brockville Police in a media release.
