
Cornwall – The Cornwall Colts won a 6-5 decision over the Brockville Braves on Thursday night in CCHL action in Cornwall at the Ed Lumley Arena.
Lyndon Lamb opened the scoring late in the first period for Cornwall before Brockville answered in the second period with goals from Liam Harry and Kimani Eccleston.
The Colts replied through Brandon Rockwell, Timothy Walker, and Derek Rhodes to take a 4–3 lead at the end of the period, with Brockville’s Antoine D’Arcy keeping it close.
Two early third-period goals by Colby Lauzon proved decisive before the Braves rallied on power-play tallies from Rhett Colson and Dryden Dervish.
Coton Rheaume made 34 saves on 39 shots for Cornwall. Brockville received 31 saves from Austin Caley on 37 shots, with Nate Galbraith stopping all 8 shots he faced in relief.
The Braves host the Nepean Raiders tonight at the Memorial Centre. The puck drops at 7:30 pm.
