Brockville – The City of Brockville will begin construction at the intersection of Parkdale Avenue and Windsor Drive on Monday, July 13, 2026.
The work is expected to take approximately 2 to 3 weeks and will be completed in stages. ACF Electric and L.A. Knapp Construction have been contracted to complete the project.
What is being done?
The project includes:
- Replacing the traffic signal controller cabinet
- Replacing underground signal infrastructure
- Installing new sidewalks
- Installing new tactile plates for AODA compliance
- Installing four new pedestrian push buttons
Why is this work being done?
As part of the City’s asset management program, traffic signal controller cabinets are replaced on a regular cycle to help keep Brockville’s traffic signals operating safely and reliably.
The underground infrastructure at this intersection will also be upgraded to current standards. These improvements will support future traffic detection technology, improve accessibility for pedestrians, and help traffic move more efficiently through the intersection.
What should residents expect?
Residents and motorists can expect temporary traffic impacts, including lane restrictions and short delays, while work is underway. Construction will be completed in stages to help reduce disruption.
Review updates on traffic impacts and any road closures related to this project.
