Brockville Bunnies Can-Am Playoff Weekend: Won 1 & 3 Losses in 4 Games

Brockville – The Brockville Bunnies Can-Am Playoff Weekend saw the team go with one win and three losses in four games.

The Bunnies hitting and defence just wasn’t good enough even though our pitchers threw the ball well enough for better results, need to be better at start of games as the team gives up 2 2 3 3 runs in first inning of each game. Two out of four were solid games where they just couldn’t get some key hits.

Game 1 – Montreal Titans 4 vs Bunnies 2:

Zadok Roiger takes the loss despite only giving up 4 hits, 3 earned runs with 11 K’s over 5.2 innings, while Matt Barkley finished up.

Wyatt Last, Aaron Roy and Barkley singled for the Bunnies only 3 hits while Roiger had a RBI.

Game 2 – Bunnies 16 vs Montreal Beasts 6:

A sloppy game by both teams to put it mildly, JJ Easton gets the win going 5 innings, giving up 5 hits, 4 earned runs with 2 K’s.

Lukus Doak (2 RBIs), Parker Ames (RBI) and Roiger with 2 hits each, team loses Ames for the rest of the weekend as after hitting the ball to the wall in right the big fella had visions of his first triple of the season but took a little tumble at first and injured his wrist.

Singles by Last (2 RBIs), Charlie Todd (RBI), Max DeCoteau and Nolan Orazietti. Eamon Morrison and Mark Bowlby with RBIs.

Game 3 Montreal Diamonds 4 vs Bunnies 1:

The Diamonds scored three in the first and the Bunnies couldn’t get a big hit when we had the chance with runners on. After the first Roy settled in going 6 innings giving up 6 hits, 3 earned runs with 6 K’s.

The Bunnies manage 5 singles by Roiger (RBI), Barkley, Doak, Bowlby and DeCoteau.

Game 4 Watson Elite 16 vs Bunnies 3:

Bunnies get spanked, Watson outhit us 11-4. Todd takes the loss. Taylor Brayton throws 3 solid innings in relief. DeCoteau and Morrison finish up.

Barkley (S, D, RBI) with 2 hits with singles by Roiger (RBI) and Orazietti.

The Brockville Bunnies will hold a team function this Wednesday night to round out the 2026 summer season.
