Brian Simpson hired as City’s Director of Development Services

Brockville – The City of Brockville is pleased to announce that effective August 31, 2026, Brian Simpson will begin his career with the City of Brockville as the Director of Development Services.

Brian brings more than 20 years of progressive municipal leadership experience with the City of Ottawa. Throughout his career, he has led initiatives in economic development, strategic planning, infrastructure modernization, organizational improvement and community development.

Brian holds a Master of Public Administration from Queen’s University, a Project Management Professional (PMP) designation, and an Honours Bachelor of Economics and Political Science from the University of Ottawa. His extensive experience in municipal leadership, stakeholder engagement, economic development, and strategic planning will be a valuable asset to the City of Brockville and our community.
