VIDEO: 24th Annual Brockville Ribfest a Tremendous Success

Brockville – The 24th annual Brockville Ribfest was held over the weekend of August 7 to 9, 2026 in Centennial/Hardy Park.

This year it was held in support of the Boys & Girls Club (BGC) of Leeds-Grenville.

Bev Heuving, Director of Programs and Evaluation at BGC South East said that this year’s Ribfest was a tremendous success, and they were once again so grateful for the incredible support from our community.

The three day event featured, vendors, a kids zone, pony rides, live music, an arm wrestling competition, volleyball tournament and of course ribs.

The annual Rib Eating Contest was held on Friday night with 8 teams participating. They raised $2,000 for BGC Leeds-Grenville with The Bar Team raising the most. Coming in first place with the fastest time was the Boldt Dance Studio Team. The best spirit wen to the Misfits.

Rib Royale BBQ was the Judge’s Choice award for, Best Ribs, Best Sauce and Best Chicken. The People’s Choice winner for best ribs was Billy Bones BBQ, followed by Crabby’s BBQ Shack in second place and Ribs Royale in third. The Peoples Choice Best Sauce winner was Silver Bullet followed by Crabby’s BBQ Shack in second and Dinosaur Smokehouse in third.

The winner of the Brockville Professional Firefighter Association’s Traeger Smoker Package draw was Chris Plume, while the winner of the Brockville Hyundai SMX Four Wheeler draw was Anna Bellah.

From the proceeds from the Traeger Smoker Package draw, $5,800 was donated to BGC South East by the firefighters.

Heuving also stated that the event simply wouldn’t be possible without the dedication of their volunteers, the generosity of their sponsors and donors, and the enthusiastic participation of their vendors and community partners. She also thanked everyone who came out and supported Ribfest.

Funds raised at Ribfest will go a long way toward helping BGC South East deliver programs and opportunities for children, youth and families throughout the coming year across Leeds & Grenville.
