Brockville – After 55 years in local radio and decades of community service, former radio announcer, Bruce Wylie announced he is seeking a seat on Brockville City Council.
Bruce said he is running for council because he cares deeply about Brockville and sees enormous potential in the city.
He said his focus is straightforward: make City Hall easier to work with, encourage investment and business growth, scrutinize spending, and make sure residents are heard before major decisions are made.
Bruce describes his approach as practical, accessible and grounded in the same community connection that defined his broadcasting career.
“I am running for City Council because I love Brockville. We have so much promise, and I want City Hall to help that promise move forward,” said Bruce. “I want us to be open for business. I want council to question spending, respect taxpayers and listen to the people who live and work here.”
He went on to say, “If elected, I will work hard, ask questions and bring a common-sense approach to the council table.”
