Individual Arrested for Impaired Driving

Brockville – On August 29, 2026, at approximately 2:30am, an officer with the Brockville Police Service was on patrol when they observed a vehicle in the area of Stewart Boulevard pulling out from the rear of a business.

Upon noticing the officer, the driver began operating the vehicle in a manner that appeared intended to evade police contact.

The vehicle was ultimately stopped in the area of Comstock Crescent. The driver was identified as an 18-year-old, male who was believed to have been consuming alcohol.

The driver provided a breath sample into a roadside screening device, which resulted in a fail. The driver was arrested and transported to the Brockville Police Service for further testing, which confirmed that he was impaired.

The vehicle was impounded, the driver’s licence was suspended, and the driver was charged with operation while impaired by alcohol and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration over 80 mg.
