Braves Won 4-3 Over Cornwall in Shootout Thursday Night in Cornwall

Cornwall – The Brockville Braves won 4-3 over the Cornwall Colts in pre-season hockey action on Thursday night in Cornwall.

There was no scoring in the first period. In the second Brockville’s Thomas Visser with help from (Cuglietta, Dunham) scored the first goal of the game.

Then Aydan Dunham would score a second goal for the Braves at 18:46 in the second period to give Brockville a 2-0 lead.

Cornwall’s Timothy Walker (Rockwell, Brown) would score the first goal for the Colts in the third period. Braves’ Nick Colson (Gill, Pongklub) would pick up a goal in the third.

The Colts Joshua Forbes (Hoffman) and Kaiden Pyke (Aurelius, Lamarche) each would score a goal for Cornwall in the third, tying the game up at 3-3 at the end of regulation.

There was no scoring in the overtime period and went to a shootout.

Scoring the winning goal for Brockville was Damien Pongklub.

The Braves host the Colts tonight at the Memorial centre in pre-season play. The puck drops at 7:30 pm.
