VIDEO: City’s New Specialized Para-Transit Booking Platform Improves Rider Experience

Brockville – The City of Brockville is continuing to invest in accessible public transit services through the implementation of a new Specialized (Para) Transit Booking System. Approved as part of the City’s 2026 Capital Budget, the new platform centralizes and streamlines major aspects of Para Transit scheduling and operations while providing riders with greater flexibility, independence, and convenience when arranging transportation.

The new system allows eligible riders to book and manage trips through the BEST – Brockville Transit mobile app, online booking portal, or by phone. Features include real-time vehicle tracking, same-day trip requests based on availability, personalized rider profiles, and the ability to book trips up to two weeks in advance.

“This project reflects our commitment to improving accessibility and enhancing the services our residents rely on every day,” said Patrick Brown, Supervisor of Transportation and Fleet Services. “The new system gives riders more control over how they book and manage their trips, while helping Brockville Transit deliver a more efficient and responsive service. We have received positive feedback from both riders and drivers.”

Para Transit provides accessible transportation services for eligible residents who are unable to use the conventional transit system due to a mobility or cognitive disability.
