The Brockville Butterfly Run is dedicated to supporting those who have experienced infertility, pregnancy loss, infant, and child loss by organizing a Run to create community, raise awareness, and fundraise for supporting programs.
The Run was founded in 2018 by Lesley Patry following the stillbirth of her daughter, Clementine. After finding comfort in the Ottawa-Gatineau Butterfly Run, Lesley brought the idea to Brockville to ensure families in her community didn’t have to suffer in silence.
Under her leadership, the Run has grown into a movement, reshaping community support systems and creating a safe space for healing. Her message, “You are not alone,” resonates in every candle lit, every training delivered, and every family reached.
By breaking the silence around reproductive loss, Lesley has fostered awareness and advocacy for an issue that affects one in four through miscarriage and one in six through infertility. Her efforts call on communities and workplaces to play a role in supporting those facing these challenges.
