Brockville – The Navan Grads downed the Brockville Braves 5-2 on Friday in CCHL action at the Memorial Centre.

Video Highlights:

COULDA….WOULDA….SHOULDA! What do you have to do to get two points!

The Grads almost ran the Braves out of the rink in the first half of the game, building up a staggering shot differential. If it wasn’t for the stellar goaltending of Jake Hedman it would have been curtains for the Braves.

In the last 5 minutes of the middle fame, the hometown team, tightened their belts, grit their teeth and upped their performance. Goals by Kai Milne-Ross and Rayne Jameson narrowed the gap to 3-2.

Narrowly missed opportunities by Carter Cuglietta and Thomas Visser (among others) failed to overcome the difference.

The Grads scrambled and added 2 more in the final seven minutes. The opportunity was there.

The Grads outshot the Braves 38 to 26 during the game.
