Brockville – The Legion’s 2026 National Poppy Campaign is launching today, October 24! And volunteers across the country are ramping up their efforts.
Locally, the campaign kicked-off on Friday with the annual pinning of the poppy with Mayor Matt Wren in front of Brockville City Hall. The mayor along with veterans and representatives of the Brockville Legion Branch 96 were on hand for the official launch of the 2026 Poppy Campaign in front of City Hall.
The wearing of poppies begins today through Remembrance Day and the Brockville Legion will have them available throughout the City. The proceeds go to directly supporting local veterans through the Poppy Fund.
Traditional Poppy boxes will be available at thousands of locations around the country, as well at tap-enabled donation options. Canadians will also be able to donate online, as well as get their Poppies delivered directly to them via Amazon.
And don’t forget, the National Remembrance Day Ceremony will be held on November 11th, 2026 in Ottawa and of course the local ceremonies around Leeds & Grenville.
