Brockville – The Brockville Police Service is warning the public following several suspected drug overdoses within twenty-four hours this past weekend.
Members of the Brockville Police Service and emergency services have responded to multiple overdose related incidents during the last 24 hours.
Fortunately, none of these incidents have resulted in fatalities. The recent increase raises significant concern for public safety regarding the presence of potentially dangerous substances.
Community members are urged to exercise caution and be aware of the risks associated with the use of illegal drugs.
The service encourages individuals who use drugs to take steps to reduce the risk of overdose, including:
- Avoid using drugs alone.
- Call 911 immediately if someone shows signs of an overdose.
- Seek medical attention if an overdose is suspected.
Have a naloxone (Narcan) kit and ensure those around you know how to use it.
