Prescott – The South Grenville Rangers won 13-1 over the Cornwall Prowlers in Eastern Ontario Super Hockey League action on Friday night at the Alaine Chartrand Arena.
The Rangers dominated the game outshooting the Prowlers 65 to 33.
The first goal of the game came from Ronnie Harrison with assists from Kevin Auger and Michael Carbino at 12:15 into the first period. South Grenville would pick up two more in the first on goals by Broydon Stufko (Brandon Gilmour, Shane Sullivan) and Max Bush (Nathan Merrett, Alexander Grenier) to lead the game 3-0 at the end of the first.
In the second the Rangers would add to their total with five more goals, two by by Kevin Auger at 18:29 and 13:43 in the period, followed by two goals by Shawn Patterson and a single goal by Brandon Gilmour.
Cornwall would pick up their lone goal of the game at just 19 seconds left in the second by Mahingan Decontie.
In the third period, it was all South Grenville, picking up an additional five goals, with two from Benjamin Anderson and singles from Greg Gibson, Kevin Auger and Jonathan Desbiens.
The Three Stars of the game were:
1st – Kevin Auger who had 3 goals in the game
2nd – Jordan Provost who made 32 saves for the Rangers in the game
3rd – David Armstrong who made 23 saves for Cornwall in the game.
The Rangers travel to Chesterville this afternoon to play the North Dundas Rockets. Game time is 3:30 pm.
