Delta – The 194th edition of the Delta Fair begins this Thursday, July 25th and runs until Sunday, July 28th at the Delta Fairgrounds.
One of Ontario’s oldest continuously operating agricultural fairs, the Delta Fair was established in 1830.
Everything kicks off on Thursday at noon when the gates open. Some of the events happening will include, the Mini King & Queen Pageant at 2 pm, and the Official Opening at 6 pm with the announcement of the Ambassador and Citizen of the Year Acknowledgement. The evening will end with the Truck Pull.
On Friday, gates open at 11 am and will see Chainsaw Art Carving, Children’s Races, Magic of Steve Gabriel and live music by Abby Stewart and ZC Top Tribute to ZZ Top.
Saturday the horse draw takes place at 9:30 am and the gates open at 11:00 am. The day includes Chainsaw Art Carving, a Baby Show, a sanctioned Goat Show, the Rynestone Magic Show, Lawn Mower Races, and a Chicken Barbecue. Live music will include, the music of Billy MacInnis & Pat Johnson, Elyse Saunders and 21 Gun Salute Tribute to AC/DC.
The final day on Sunday will include, Antique Tractor Pull, Country Side Petting Farm / Pony Rides, Children’s Pedal Tractor Pull with live music from Jeff Code and the Silver Wings Band.

- Thursday, July 25th – 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
- Friday, July 26th – 2:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
- Saturday, July 27th – 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
- Sunday, July 28th – 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Back this year after more than 10 years of hiatus is the Delta Fair Parade. It is being held on Sunday, July 28th with the parade lineup starting at 1:00 pm at 2 Foundry Street. It begins at 2:00 pm and takes a route from Foundry Street to the fairgrounds.
For those who wish to enter a float or a walking group, please feel free to head over to the Old Beverley School property by 1 pm that day to register.
