Brockville – A 35-year-old male motorcyclist has been charged with dangerous driving and stunt driving after being clocked at 26km/h, within the 40km/h, Community Safety Zone by Brockville Police.
Police say on Wednesday, October 23rd, around 11:00 am, an officer was assigned to traffic enforcement and was monitoring the area of King St. West. While there, a 35-year-old, male was operating a motorcycle within the Community Safety Zone, designated in front of Swift Waters Elementary School.
The officer recorded a speed reading of 126km/h, within the 40km/h, Community Safety Zone. Police were unable to safely stop the vehicle at the time, though through an investigation, the driver was identified.
Police contacted the driver, arrested him and charged him with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and driving a motor vehicle to perform a stunt.
The driver’s licence was suspended and he was released with a future court date.
