Brockville/Cornwall/Kingston – St. Lawrence College (SLC) is pleased to announce the launch of its Autism & Behavioural Science Ontario College Graduate Certificate, now available fully online.
The one-year, full-time program is open to both domestic and international students, with classes beginning September 2026. This new online format is in addition to the in-person Autism and Behavioural Science program on SLC’s Kingston campus.
The program prepares graduates to work directly with individuals across the autism spectrum using Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) — an evidence-based approach shown to develop communication, social, self-help, academic, and life skills. Students learn to conduct curriculum-based and functional assessments, design and implement intervention plans, and monitor outcomes to ensure treatment goals are met.
“At St. Lawrence College, we believe that where you are in life should never be a barrier to where you want to go,” said Glenn Vollebregt, President and CEO of St. Lawrence College. “By bringing the Autism & Behavioural Science program fully online, we’re meeting students where they are whether they’re recent graduates or working professionals looking to specialize.”
The synchronous online delivery format features small class sizes, experienced faculty, hands-on learning, and research assistant opportunities — all accessible from anywhere in Ontario and beyond. Students are responsible for securing their own field placement in settings such as autism service agencies, community organizations, or school boards.
Graduates of the program go on to work as ABA therapists with employers including the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario, the Maltby Centre, and various school boards across Ontario.
