Navan – The Brockville Braves lost 5-2 to the Navan Grads in game 7 of their CCHL quarter-final series on Tuesday night in Navan.
“Oh, somewhere in this favored land the sun is shining bright; the band is playing somewhere, and somewhere hearts are light, and somewhere men are laughing, and somewhere children shout; but there is no joy in Brockville—mighty Braves have struck out,” said Braves commentator Whit Prophet.
“On top of the loss and elimination, is the emotional turmoil in the dressing room after, when the graduating players face the reality of having played their last game of junior hockey.” Prophet continued. “Congratulations to our ‘Seniors’ as they progress to the next phase: Alexandre Coté, Brandon Puluszak, Ben Albright, Zach Biniaris, Kellen Dostaler, Liam Reid, Charles Poudrette, Max Treppo. Well done, gentlemen!”
