
Brockville – The Brockville Bunnies played at home on Sunday, splitting a pair of games with Watson Elite 16u at Fulford Park.
In the first game, the Bunnies lost 5-1 to Watson.
“Brockville’s pitchers gave up seven hits but added 9 walks, and it was hard to overcome without getting any clutch hits themselves as they had multiple innings with runners on,” said the Bunnies organization
Wyatt Brandwood had the loss going 3.2 innings and gave up three earned runs, five hits, five walks with 4k’s. Aaron Roy was in relief, going 3.1 innings and giving up two hits, one earned run, with four walks and 1k. The Bunnies managed four hits with singles by Ryan Robinson, Wyatt Last, Levi Biller and Mark Bowlby.
In game two, the Bunnies won 7-2 over the Watson Elite 16u.
Lefty John Huntley had the win, going 5.2 innings, giving up five hits, five walks with 2k’s. Wyatt Last with the save, going 1.1 innings and giving up one hit. Zadok Roiger had a two-run homer, his second of the season and later roped a double. Hunter Sanger had a solo home run among his two hits. Mark Bowlby had a pair of hits with singles by Adam Bergman and Levi Biller.
“Bunnies played a solid defence all day, which is nice to see, including a couple of nice double play,s including one to end game two,” said the Bunnies organization
The Brockville Bunnies’ record goes to three wins and three losses as the team travels to Montreal next Saturday to take on the Montreal Titans 17u team in CanAm league action.
