Johnstown – The Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA) seized an undeclared firearm and two prohibited magazines from a US traveller recently at the Johnstown port of entry crossing.
CBSA says officers found the items during a routine vehicle search. The person had not declared the firearm or the magazines banned in Canada, so officers seized the weapon and magazines on the spot.
The person had to pay a penalty and was returned to the United States. CBSA say that no charges were laid.
The CBSA wants everyone to know the rules and procedures for individuals importing firearms into Canada.
