Brockville – On May 12, 2025, at about 3:00 pm, Brockville Police received a report of a male who had been attacked by two other males in the area of Park Street.
Investigation revealed that the victim was confronted by a 33-year-old male in regards to the possession of a bicycle. An argument ensued that escalated to the 33-year-old subject brandishing a knife as he was demanding the bicycle be turned over to him. The subject put the knife away, and then the two began to fight. During the fight, the two fell to the ground, and that is when another 26-year-old male jumped into the altercation and further assaulted the victim by kicking him.
As a result, the two males instigating the altercation were arrested. The 33-year-old male was charged with robbery, uttering threats, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and two counts of failing to comply with probation.
The 26-year-old male was charged with assault. The victim suffered minor, non-life-threatening injuries, and the two subjects arrested were released with conditions and a future court date.
