
Brockville – A 40-year-old local male, who was wanted on an arrest warrant for multiple offences and was not complying with his bail conditions, was taken into custody following a series of incidents involving flight from police and assault.
Officers from the Brockville Police Service had made several previous attempts to locate and arrest the individual, during which he repeatedly fled from police. On June 24, 2025, he evaded officers in a vehicle, resulting in additional charges for flight from police.
On June 26, 2025, officers again attempted to apprehend the suspect. He was located on the outskirts of Brockville, where officers attempted to contain his vehicle.
The suspect fled once more, ramming police vehicles in the process and returning to Brockville. He then went to a family member’s residence, stole another vehicle, and fled the scene.
At approximately 9:00 p.m., officers located the stolen vehicle unoccupied in the Walmart parking lot on Parkedale Avenue. The subject was seen approaching the vehicle on foot.
Upon intercepting him at the entrance, he threw a can of spray paint at one of them, striking the officer in the face and causing an injury that required medical attention.
The suspect was arrested and taken into custody. He was held for a bail hearing and is now facing the following charges related to the events of June 26, 2025:
- Theft of a motor vehicle
- Dangerous operation of a conveyance
- Flight from the police
- Fail to stop after an accident
- Resist arrest
- Assault a peace officer
- Two counts of failing to comply with a release order
