
Gananoque – A driver is facing impaired driving charges after being involved in a single-vehicle collision on a trail near County Road 2 and Robertson Road outside of Gananoque.
On Saturday, June 6, 2026, shortly before 10:30 p.m., members of the Leeds County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a collision where a vehicle struck a tree. The lone driver sustained minor injuries.
As a result of the investigation, 26-year-old Sarah L. DOUCET of Frankville has been charged with the following offences:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Failure or refusal to comply with demand
- Mischief – destroys or damages property
- Obstruct peace officer
The accused had their driver’s licence suspended for 90 days, and their vehicle impounded for 45 days. The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville on Friday, July 17, 2026.
