Brockville – The Brockville Fire Department and Brockville Police Service responded to a call of a structure fire at a residence on Buell Street around 8:00 am on Tuesday, July 8th.
Police said when officers arrived on the scene, they assisted with traffic control and keeping people back from the danger area to allow the firefighters the space to complete their tasks.
“The affected residence was a duplex, and it was learned that the fire had spread from one half of the structure and into the attached side,” said police.
Police say all residents were removed from the building, and Brockville Fire was able to gain control and prevent the fire from spreading further.
“The fire was later deemed not to be suspicious, and luckily, no one was injured,” said police.
