Brockville – A 40-year-old man is facing assault, failing to comply, and obstruction charges after police responded to a domestic dispute on Saturday.
Police say on July 12th, around 6:30 am, they received a 911 call regarding a dispute between a woman and a 40-year-old man who was agitated at an apartment building on Windsor Drive.
Police say when they arrived on the scene, the man had attempted to hide from the officers. The man was found to be on an undertaking with conditions to abstain from communicating with the woman. The conditions are a result of a previous incident of intimate partner violence.
Police say they made attempts to locate the man and found him hiding inside a dryer, in the laundry room of the building. Evidence of an assault that took place at a previous time was also discovered.
The man was arrested and held for a bail hearing for the offences of assault, failure to comply with an undertaking and obstructing justice.
