Brockville – On July 18, 2025, officers from the Brockville Police Service conducted a motor vehicle stop shortly after midnight and found the owner had unconfirmed status for insurance on the vehicle.
The driver was spoken to, and it was determined that they were giving a false name to police; however, the driver was recognized by one of the involved officers.
It was determined that the 24-year-old male had outstanding criminal charges. This subject was confirmed to be the owner of the vehicle.
Investigation revealed that the driver had a suspended driver’s licence. The subject was placed under arrest for driving while suspended and obstructing a peace officer.
The vehicle was towed and the subject was later released with a court date for the offences of obstructing a peace officer, driving while under suspension, failing to change address on permit and failing to surrender insurance card.
