
Brockville – On July 15, 2025, at about 4:30 pm, police received information about a driver who appeared to be intoxicated and struck cement barriers at the entrance of the Laurier Hill parking lot.
It was described by witnesses on the scene that the driver was attempting to leave the scene. He was fortunately partially blocked in the area and unable to flee.
Police arrived shortly after and arrested the 36-year-old male driver for impaired driving. He was transported to the Brockville Police Service for testing, which confirmed he was impaired.
As a result, his licence was suspended, his vehicle was impounded, and he was charged with operation while impaired and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration over 80mg. He was released with a future court date.
