
Brockville – After 8 months of being closed to traffic for infrastructure rehabilitation, Brockville’s William Street overpass is now back open to traffic.
“Thank you for your patience during this important infrastructure rehabilitation project. While the bridge is open, please be aware that lane closures will continue intermittently over the coming days and weeks,” said the City in a media release on Friday.
Although the overpass is reopened, there is some finishing work to be completed.
The final cleanup and finishing work by the contractor, KB Civil and road paving between Front Avenue and Pearl Street West.
The city is asking that you stay alert for signage and workers as final tasks are completed.
“We appreciate the community’s understanding as we wrap up the remaining details. A big thank you to KB Civil and HP Engineering for their excellent work in getting this major project completed and the bridge safely reopened. We appreciate staff who assisted above and beyond to facilitate this,” said the City.
