Brockville – 2025 Brockville Butterfly Run is taking place on Sunday, October 5, at the Brockville Railway Tunnel and Blockhouse Island.

Registration and check-in will open at 9:30 am at the South Tunnel entrance. Children (under age 12) are FREE but MUST BE REGISTERED. Participants can run/walk a 1km or 5km route.

The Brockville Butterfly Run is dedicated to supporting those who have experienced infertility, pregnancy loss, and infant loss by organizing the run to create community, raise awareness, and fundraise for supporting programs.

This year, their goal is to raise $8,000, and you can help them reach that goal by registering to walk with and collect donations or donate to a registered walker or team.

This year’s funds will be going to QueenCare – it’s a Mom thing to continue to support loss moms and families in Leeds and Grenville, and to Lachlan’s Light Canada to support their annual retreat for loss moms.

The Run was founded in 2018 by Lesley Patry following the stillbirth of her daughter, Clementine. After finding comfort in the Ottawa-Gatineau Butterfly Run, Lesley brought the idea to Brockville to ensure families in her community didn’t have to suffer in silence.

Under her leadership, the Run has grown into a movement, reshaping community support systems and creating a safe space for healing. Her message, “You are not alone,” resonates in every candle lit, every training delivered, and every family reached.

By breaking the silence around reproductive loss, Lesley has fostered awareness and advocacy for an issue that affects one in four through miscarriage and one in six through infertility. Her efforts call on communities and workplaces to play a role in supporting those facing these challenges.

Schedule for the day:

  • 9:30 – 10:00 Check-in
  • 10:00 – 10:25 Opening Remarks
  • 10:25 – 10:30 Warm-up
  • 10:30 Start

All proceeds go to supporting local initiatives through QueenCare, it’s a Mom thing and Lachlan’s Light.

“We thank you for all of your support as we work towards reaching our goal and continue to support loss families,” said organizers.
