Tincap – One of the highlights of autumn is the Friends of Mac Johnson Wildlife Area’s Fall Festival, which takes place this Saturday, October 18th, at Mac Johnson Wildlife Area.
The annual event runs from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., featuring the Mush Larose Dogsled Teams, who return with races starting at 11:00 a.m. The races will be accompanied by great food from the volunteer-run canteen as well as warm drinks by the campfire.
All proceeds go to help support the programs and property of the Mac Johnson Wildlife Area, which is owned and managed by Cataraqui Conservation with significant support and assistance from the Friends.
Don’t forget to stop by the Kids Zone to carve your own pumpkin and to put on your detective hats for a Fabulous Fall Scavenger Hunt.
Admission to the event is free, and donations are welcome and will be accepted at the gate.
