Brockville – On October 18, 2025, at about 1:00 am, officers were flagged down in the area of Church Street and Buell Street. A 27-year-old male was reporting that he was involved in a physical altercation with another male, and had been removed from and locked out of his residence. He reported that the other male was inside his residence with his girlfriend.
Investigation revealed that the three individuals were all together at the residence. During that time, the 27-year-old male was engaged in an argument with his girlfriend, which escalated to the point that the subject struck her in the face. It was that action that caused the other visiting male to step in and engage in a physical altercation to protect the female.
This altercation resulted in the 27-year-old male being removed and locked out of the residence, just before flagging down the officers.
The 27-year-old subject was arrested and charged with assault for striking his girlfriend. He was held in custody for a bail hearing. Any injuries sustained can be considered minor and non-life-threatening, and no other charges were laid in this incident.
