
Brockville – The collection of snowsuits for the Brockville Kinsmen’s 37th Annual Snowsuit Campaign starts this Saturday, November 1st.
Snowsuit donation drop-off locations will be available throughout the community for new and gently used snowsuits, jackets, pants and related accessories.
This year’s drop-off locations are:
- Augusta Fire/Rescue Maitland Station
- Brockville Chiropractic & Health Associates
- Brockville Fire Station #2
- Brockville Home Hardware
- Canadian Tire
- Chit-Chat Convenience Store
- Giant Tiger
- Henderson Printing & Digital Media
- The Keystorm Pub
- Luna Pizzeria
- Metro Brockville
- Real Canadian Superstore
- Severson Cleaners
- Stingers Indoor Paintball
- Tim Hortons – Parkedale Location
- Walmart
- YMCA of Eastern Ontario
The Brockville Kinsmen have a starting inventory of Boys and Girls snowsuits, jackets and pants, but they currently lack enough amounts of popular sizes.
Girls’ Winter Clothing:
- Size 6 jackets and pants
- Size 7/8 pants
- Size 10/12 pants
Boys’ Winter Clothing:
- Size 5 jackets
- Size 6 jackets and pants
- Size 10/12 and 14/16 jackets
Distribution will take place at the P&G Pavilion on George Street in Brockville from 9:00 am to noon on three dates:
- – Saturday, November 15th
- – Saturday, November 22nd
- – Saturday, November 29th
Additional distribution days and times may be arranged as needed, especially to accommodate larger groups such as schools.
“Despite nearly four decades of service, we acknowledge that many children continue to face challenges accessing appropriate winter wear. We are committed to meeting this need,” said Brockville Kinsmen, with the following provisions below.
- – All items are provided free of charge.
- – NO pre-registration is necessary.
- – NO paperwork is required upon collection.
- – NO residency requirement
- – NO requirement to bring a child or grandchild when collecting items; if an item does not fit, exchanges are permitted.
- – The only information we require is the size(s) needed.
A variety of hats, mittens, scarves, and other winter accessories are available.
Please note that some winter boots are also donated, but quantities are very limited.
