VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS: Braves Back On Winning Track After Beating Nepean 4-3 After Shootout

Brockville – The Brockville Braves are back on the winning track despite missing their two top scorers, Peter Legostaev and Ryan “The Rat” McNally, after they won a 4-3 decision over the Nepean Raiders in a shootout on Friday night at the Memorial Centre.

The balance of the high octane offence picked up the slack and got the job done.
Nate Galbraith was outstanding in goal (nice to know we have two premier netminders, Galbraith and Caley), and it was a D-man, William Rob, who scored the only goal in the shootout.

Aiden Carolan and Jesse Lumsden were firing on all cylinders last night, and Cohen Gill was a force. He made a nice rush to set up the Braves’ initial marker, and almost netted one himself in the 3rd.

He took a real pounding in front of the Raiders’ net, including a heavy crosscheck to the ribs, but not a whimper. Carter Cuglietta skated miles, always hustling when out there.

Top to bottom, the troops played well last night.

Brockville travels to Carleton Place on Sunday afternoon to play the Canadians. The puck drops at 3:00 PM.
