
Brockville – On November 4, 2025, at about 6:45 pm, police received a call from the Superstore regarding a theft in progress. It was described that two females were selecting and concealing various items in their purses and bags. They exited the store, making no attempt to pay for the merchandise.
Officers responded quickly and located the two female suspects on the West side of the Superstore property, near Crocker Crescent. The suspects were later identified to be 37-year- old, female from Belleville, ON and a 39-year-old female from Brighton, ON. When officers located them, the 37-year-old subject fled on foot; however, he was arrested a short distance later.
The 39-year-old female was found to be on probation with conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. Investigation revealed that the females had stolen approximately $463.00 worth of merchandise. The merchandise was recovered and returned.
Both females were held for a bail hearing as a result of the following charges being issued:
37-year-old:
- Theft under $5,000.00
- Resist arrest by a peace officer
39-year-old:
- Theft under $5,000.00
- Fail to comply with probation
