
Ottawa – The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) Homicide Unit is investigating the death of a Spencerville man that occurred on Monday evening, November 17th, in the 2900 block of Penny Dr. in Ottawa.
Police said on Wednesday that they have laid charges in the homicide of 43-year-old Jeffrey Wilson of Spencerville.
18-year-old Firomsa MOTUMA of Ottawa has been charged with second-degree murder.
Ottawa Police and emergency responders were called to the area at approximately 6:45 p.m. on Monday, where a person was located with life-threatening injuries, transported to the hospital, and then succumbed to their injuries shortly after.
One individual was in custody on Monday.
Police said they do not believe there is an ongoing risk to public safety. The investigation is ongoing.
The matter is now before the courts.
