Kemptville 73s Lost 5-4 in Shootout to Cornwall Friday Night in CCHL

Kemptville – The Kemptville 73s lost a 5-4 shootout to the Cornwall Colts on Friday night in CCHL action at the North Grenville Municipal Centre.

Kemptville opened the scoring with Beaulieu’s 19th of the season, but Cornwall answered with three second-period goals from Dowse, Rockwell on the power play, and Camden McCuaig to take a 3–1 lead.

Warner extended the lead early in the third on the man advantage before Kemptville stormed back with three straight goals from Beaulieu (twice) and McDougall to force overtime.

After a scoreless extra frame, Walker scored the lone shootout goal. Rheaume made 46 saves on 50 shots to secure the victory.

The 73s are off the ice until this Wednesday night when they travel to Carleton Place to play the Canadians. Game time is 7:00 pm.
