Athens – The Athens community will be celebrating 40 years of their community bonfire this Saturday, January 10th, at Centennial Park/Centre 76.
The annual burning of the Christmas trees will begin with free skating at Centre 76 from 6:00 pm to 7:00 p,m followed by the torchlight parade starting at 7:30 pm with the lighting of the Christmas Tree Bonfire.
The trees will be picked up in Athens at the curbside, or you can drop your tree off at Centennial Park.
There will be free hot chocolate available.
