
Smiths Falls – The Brockville Braves lost a 1 2-1 decision to the Smiths Falls Bears on Tuesday night at the Smiths Falls Memorial Centre.
It was Kimani Eccleston who opened the scoring early for Brockville, but Smiths Falls responded with two power-play goals, as Parker tied the game in the second period and Beauchesne netted the eventual game-winner late in the third period.
Smiths Falls controlled much of the play, outshooting Brockville 41–23. In goal, Brett Ruddy stopped 22 of 23 shots to secure the win, while Nate Galbraith made 39 saves on 41 shots in a strong effort for Brockville.
The Braves will host the Renfrew Wolves Friday night at the Memorial Centre. The puck drops at 7:30 pm.
