
Brockville – The Ottawa Police Service (OPS), working with the Brockville Police Service and the Russell County OPP, has arrested and charged a 26-year-old man in connection with multiple shootings that occurred in the City of Brockville in 2024.
On October 27, 2024, the accused attended the apartment complex at 6 Fairknowe Drive and fired multiple gunshots into the rear of the building. Bullets were recovered from within several apartments. There were no injuries, and the accused fled the area.
On December 16, 2024, the accused and at least one other unidentified suspect attended an address on Church Street and fired multiple rounds into a residence. Bullets were again recovered from inside the residence. There were no injuries, and the responsible parties fled the area.
The forensic evidence recovered from the scenes, including ballistics and DNA samples, was crucial in connecting the accused to similar out-of-jurisdiction offences.
The accused was also involved and charged with multiple violent offences between December 2024 and October 2025 in the Ottawa area, and a home invasion involving firearms in the Limoges area in 2024.
The accused is facing multiple serious Criminal Code charges, including possession and use of a restricted firearm, discharge of a firearm with intent and conspiracy to commit indictable offences.
The 26-year-old man from Ottawa remains in custody.
