Brockville — The Ontario government is welcoming an investment of $12,339,475 by CABN CO. Ltd., a local manufacturer specializing in sustainable prefabricated housing, to expand production capacity and build a new inventory processing facility, creating 47 new good-paying jobs and retaining 69 more in Brockville.

The investment was announced today by Steve Clark, MPP for Leeds-Grenville- Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes.

“CABN is a remarkable local success story, and today’s investment in Brockville is another significant step forward. It will create new jobs, while supporting economic growth and innovation right here in our community – and that’s great news for local workers and families,” said MPP Clark. “By helping enable these strategic investments by regional businesses, our government is protecting Ontario’s workers and creating the conditions for a strong, stable, and resilient economy that can weather any storm.”

CABN CO. Ltd. is a clean technology company in the housing and construction industry, focused on the design, manufacturing, and assembly of sustainable, prefabricated housing units.

CABN serves markets across Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal, New England and surrounding regions. This investment will allow the company to meet growing demand by integrating an advanced manufacturing line within its existing 93,000-square-foot facility and constructing a new 15,000-square-foot outdoor inventory management and processing facility.

In support of this investment, the government is providing CABN CO. with $413,896 through the Regional Development Program’s Eastern Ontario Development Fund.

“Canada’s housing solution will be built community by community. This $12.3 million investment allows CABN to expand advanced manufacturing locally while delivering scalable, climate-resilient housing solutions nationally,” said Jackson Wyatt, CABN’s Chief Executive Officer. “It’s proof that Canadian innovation, Canadian materials, and Canadian talent can drive a housing transformation from the ground up.”

“Employing more than 800,000 workers across the province, Ontario’s manufacturing sector is the economic engine of our nation,” said Vic Fedeli, Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade. “Our government is proud to support local companies like CABN CO. Ltd. as they expand their operations, and we thank them for their contributions to Ontario’s dynamic and growing manufacturing ecosystem.”

“This is exciting news for our community and I’m proud to see local manufacturing leaders like CABN and our skilled workers succeed in driving innovation and creating jobs right here in our region by building much needed housing for families,” said Michael Barrett, MP for Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands-Rideau Lakes.

“As a locally founded company at the forefront of innovation in manufactured housing, CABN continues to make Brockville proud. This significant investment will boost our economy and create new jobs for residents, and we’re grateful for the Ontario government’s contribution to this expansion,” said City of Brockville Mayor Matt Wren.

Ontario is investing over $230 million through its Regional Development Program to help manufacturers across the province grow while supporting distinct regional priorities. To date, Ontario has supported more than 180 projects through the program, leveraging more than $2.6 billion in new investments and helping to create over 5,500 jobs.
