Kemptville Defeated Pembroke 5-2 Sunday in CCHL

Pembroke – The Kemptville 73’s defeated the Pembroke Lumber Kings 5–2 on Sunday night at the Pembroke Memorial Centre.

Venance and Sweetapple gave Kemptville a two-goal lead in the first, while Campbell scored early in the second before Wade responded for Pembroke.

Campbell added his second of the game in the third, and after Ryan narrowed the deficit late, Achim sealed the result with an empty-net goal.

Sweetapple recorded three points in the win. Carswell stopped 23 of 25 shots for Kemptville, while Zomers made 28 saves on 32 shots for Pembroke.

The 73s will travel to Ottawa on Wednesday night to play the Junior Senators. The puck drops at 7:30 pm.
