Front of Yonge Announces Nominations for This Year’s Business Awards

Mallorytown – The Economic Development Committee of the Township of Front of Yonge is pleased to announce that eighteen local businesses have been nominated for Business Recognition Awards.

There are two categories: Business of the Year and New Business of the Year.

The Business of the Year Award recognizes businesses that have been in operation for at least 5 years and have been nominated based on the following criteria: customer service, longevity, and community involvement/enhancement.

This year’s nominees are:

• deTails Dog Grooming
• Flowerbuds Professional Gardening
• Mallorytown Pharmacy
• McQuaid Farm Honey
• Skyward Active Health Centre
• VB Bookkeeping

The New Business of the Year Award recognizes businesses that have been in operation for less than 5 years and have been nominated based on the following criteria: community involvement, plans for sustainability, customer service and innovation.

The nominees are:

• A Thousand Ways
• Arbru Solar Brewery
• Blackwood Guitar Company
• Drawbridge Family Hair Design
• Grand Metal Inc.
• Meowtown
• Spanright Truss Inc.
• Spicy Riffs Hot Sauce
• Tidy Trees
• Tire Changers Kingston and 1000 Islands
• Trio Kuntry Services

Mayor Roger Haley remarked: “The Business Awards event recognizes and celebrates the local businesses that serve our community. Congratulations to the nominees and thank you to everyone who took the time to submit a nomination.”

Winners will be announced at the Business Awards Breakfast to be held on Friday April 10 at the Mallorytown Legion.

Guest speaker will be Jackson Wyatt, CEO and Founder of CABN CO.
