
Brockville – The City of Brockville is sharing the following notice for information purposes regarding upcoming construction work led by the Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO) that may impact local traffic.
This notice has been provided by Bellai Alliance Civil Inc. (BAC), which has been contracted by the MTO to complete this work.
Construction work on Highway 401 structures and nearby roadways is scheduled to begin March 23, 2026. Residents can expect nightly lane and ramp closures in affected areas.
According to the project information provided, rehabilitation work will take place on the Highway 401 overpasses at Stewart Boulevard and North Augusta Road. The project also includes paving work on highway ramps and adjacent city streets, including Stewart Blvd, North Augusta Rd, and Parkedale Avenue.
To facilitate this work, temporary traffic control measures will be implemented, including:
- Nightly lane closures on both eastbound and westbound Highway 401
- Nightly lane restrictions on Stewart Blvd, North Augusta Rd, and Parkedale Ave
- Nightly ramp closures at Stewart Blvd and North Augusta Rd (public access to Highway 401 will be maintained from at least one of these intersections at all times)
- Installation of temporary steel plates on both overpasses
Motorists should expect delays, follow all posted signage, and plan alternate routes where possible.
This work is being led by the Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO) and carried out by their contractor, Bellai Alliance Civil Inc.
