Smiths Falls Downs Brockville 12-1 Thursday Night to Win the Quarter-Final Series & Advance

Brockville – The Smiths Falls Bears delivered a dominant performance in a 12–1 win over the Brockville Braves on Thursday night at the Brockville Centennial Youth Arena.

Smiths Falls erupted for five first-period goals and never looked back, adding three in the second and four in the third. Luka Benoit led the charge with four goals, including three in a 29-second span early in the third.

The Bears outshot Brockville 44–23 and went 3-for-3 on the power play.

In goal, Ruddy made 22 saves, while Li stopped 32 shots in the loss.

With the win, the Bears sweep the series and become the first team to move on to the second round of the Bogart Cup Playoffs.
