Theft at Giant Tiger Leads to Drug Charges

Brockville – On March 25 th at approximately 8:30pm, members of the Brockville Police Service responded to a theft in progress at the Giant Tiger.

The accused fled the scene in a vehicle but was located a short distance away. Further investigation and a subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of suspected controlled substances, including 20 grams of cocaine, 10.8 grams of methamphetamine, and additional quantities of fentanyl pills and crack cocaine.

As a result of the investigation, a thirty seven year old female from Perth has been charged with five counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, as well as theft under five thousand dollars.

The female was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
